St John

We completed the remodel and renovation on this beautiful, turn of the century, Victorian Style home in 2009. It was a worthwhile challenge requiring collaboration and problem solving skills. This home had previously been remodeled a couple of times over the years, but with little heed paid to retaining the feel and style of the original home on the interior. We are not sure who ever thought that carpet in a kitchen was a good idea, but that was the state of this home when we started our work.

A few of the major elements we worked on: moving the basement stairs to fall in line with the reworking of the back three story set of stairs, providing access to the attic (we did not have to rework the front set of stairs), finishing the attic space (the finished attic space includes a TV area, an office nook, and space for ping pong and foosball tables), utilizing space from an existing bedroom to create a master suite with closets and bathroom, added an attached laundry room, and, of course, the reworking and finishing of the beautiful kitchen. This project was rewarding, educational and fun. We have always enjoyed situations where we need to use our problem solving and creative skills.
